All students are required at attend their class Play a thon Performance- see schedule below. One hour for each class participation - rehearsal for the June 7 Showcase Concert
ALL Beginners: arrive 10:45: Play 11 to 11:45.
Tuesday Intermediates.: arrive 11:30 Play 11:45 to 12:30
Thursday Intermediates : arrive 12:15 Play 12:30 to 1:15 pm
Ensembles / Solos: Arrive 1:pm. Play 1:15 to 1 :45 pm
Advanced: arrive 1:30 pm Play 1:45 to 3 pm
WHAT TO BRING: class music, and music stand with your NAME on it.. Wear MATT t shirt / casual clothing
Parents are needed during your own child’s class time only, to help students care for /store cases etc and to hand out the snack after performance. Please see Yogita if you can help . thank you!.
INTERVIEWS: This is week 2 of interviews. Make sure you are booked in. Student progress reports and other info shared . Interviews will be held in the 75 Charolais Office , at entrance to the Towers parking lot The office is located at the top of the ramp. There is some visitor parking up there . Please wait in the hall till your app’t time.
2. SPECIAL PIRATES REHEARSAL for ALL Students: Tuesday May 28 6 to 6:30 pm. in the regular Towers class room Please arrive at 5:45 to unpack and be ready to sit in.
3. BINGO! Can you help? If you might be able to attend a 1 hour training session and serve at a 3 hour Bingo session once or twice a year. let us know. Monday to Thursday 3:15 to 6:15 or Sat Sun 12:15 to 2:15.am We will receive the exact dates in a week or two.

FRIDAY JUNE 7TH FINALE SHOWCASE CONCERT 7 to 8:30 pm :Complete performance by all students and staff, for your family and guests, and residents of HCH. Entrance is free, but a donation hat is circulated.

YEAR END AWARDS PARTY
The final Tuesday of MATT is a celebration for all students: the presentation of certificates and special awards, swimming, and playing. . A life guard will be hired, but each parent is required to supervise your child. It’s a chance to just have fun and celebrate the 2018/19 MATT Year! The location is MS Andrea’a home 5 min from the Towers- address to follow.

Saturday May 25th PLAY A THON WHAT IS IT? All students are receiving their Pledge sheets this week, for the 3rd Annual MATT fundraising campaign. Please read through all details on the pledge sheet for information about collecting and handing in funds raised.
HOW DOES IT WORK? Like any other marathon (running, biking walking etc.), we canvass family members, teachers and close family friends to support us in our efforts by donating to our Play a thon. All proceeds go to the MATT program to pay for instruments, bows, sheet music and other program needs
WHO PLAYS ? ALL students are involved with the May 25 PLAY A THON performances: 4 hours of continuous MUSIC. Be sure to confirm your attendance with Yogita.
WHO HELPS? Parents are needed for each shift to help students care for /store equipment and to hand out the snack after performance. Please see Yogita if you’d like to help

Once again I’d like to thank the Towers and Oxford Management, Students, Teachers, Board members and Parents for their great “show “ -last week’s sponsor appreciation event. The months of planning, the music, the decor, the supervision, the donations for the delicious food, treats for students (Thank you Daljeet! ) and the great work by the caterer, Luther. all culminated in a very successful and enjoyable event. 2. FULL ATTENDANCE for ALL STUDENTS. Music performance is TEAM WORK ! Please note that from now till the end of the MATT year,students are required to attend ALL classes Theory and Private lessons. Without sufficient advance notice, this being for illness only students may not be able to perform at the June Concert.

Parents of MATT students are asked to help their children find sponsors towards $100 per family, to support the MATT program. The event takes place Saturday May 25 at Southside Court, Shoppers World Mall. Enter at the Steeles Ave entrance beside “the Kitchen Store”.
How does it work ?. Our sponsors are contributing their donation to support he students who will play for a total of FOUR hours that day, from 1 to 3 pm. (as they would sponsor a marathon run.) A $50 gift card prize will be awarded for the highest family contribution !
Each class will perform part of the time, as seen in the schedule below playing their class music which is being prepared for the final June 7th Finale Showcase Concert .
They will bring stands music etc as they would to class and dress in MATT t-shirts.

NEW MAY MATT CALENDAR: PLAY A THON date : May 25th 11 to 3pm You have received a new MAY calendar via email. Please be careful to discard the old one. Pledge sheets will be distributed April 23 and 25th in class. Who are the folks you can ask to donate a pledge to support your performance that day. FOUR hours of MATT students performing -@$5 per hour brings in $20 for each one you ask! Ask four people, you can bring in the goal of $100 per student..
LAST Rose /Rosebud concert is April 27. “ Spring AWAKENNG”. Orders due April 6th
MISSED PRIVATE LESSONS REMINDER: Please be sure to follow the MATT Absence Policy guidelines to avoid paying full cost for a missed lesson.
